ROS Turtledex (2025-present)
A visual index of every ROS release and ROSCon logo, from ROS 1’s C Turtle through ROS 2 Rolling. It’s turtles all the way down.
Huntsville Budget Explorer (2026)
Interactive visualizations of the City of Huntsville, Alabama’s municipal budget, built by hand from the city’s own Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports. Covers revenue and spending flow, fund balances, debt, and a look at Huntsville City Schools’ own finances, from FY2016 through the FY2035 capital plan.
Poolboy (2026)
A multi-tenant web application for tracking pool water chemistry, maintenance actions, and parameter history over time.
Madison Incident Data (2019-present)
Scrapes incident and arrest report PDFs published by the City of Madison, Alabama Police Department, geocodes them, and publishes a static site with an interactive crime heatmap. Started as a 2019 hackathon project; I rebuilt it in 2026 with an automated weekly pipeline.
HSV.Beer (2019-present)
A site to find draft beer on tap across Huntsville-area breweries and taprooms, pulling in listings from Untappd, TapHunter, and other sources. I’ve contributed to the Nuxt-based frontend since 2019.
Search and Text You (2017)
Won grand prize at a hackathon sponsored by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the City of Huntsville, focused on flood-related disaster response.
The winning concept was an Android app that overlaid GPS positions transmitted via text message in augmented reality, since bandwidth would be limited and, in high flood waters, recognizable landmarks might be underwater.
RecMed: Medical Vending Machine (2016)
Co-built a prototype vending machine with several collaborators and developed its software interface.

LazeeEye: Turn Your Smartphone into a 3D Camera (2014)
Assisted a friend and former coworker with development for a Kickstarter campaign. The campaign did not reach its funding goal.
MIT Independent Activities Period Course (2013)
Set up a fleet of 14 TurtleBots and taught an introductory course on ROS during MIT’s Independent Activities Period.
Project AUTOMATE at MIT Lincoln Laboratory (2013)
Internal competition to perform search and rescue using a combination of ground and aerial robotics.
Auburn AutoMow (2009-2012)
Competed for four years with Auburn University’s team in the Institute of Navigation Autonomous Lawn Mower Competition (now defunct), building an autonomous mowing robot. Placed 3rd in the Dynamic category in 2010 and 2nd in 2011.
